Teaching is more than a profession, it is a PASSION!

Wattles Title 1 Summer School Program
For the past two years, I have been the Title 1 Summer School Director at Wattles Elementary in Troy. I am very proud of the program, teachers and students who participate. We service and educate Title 1 children and their families by providing them with a fun educational experience during the summer months in order to avoid the "summer slide." We have an amazing staff that integrate iPads, SmartBoards and Visible Thinking routines into daily activities as well as making learning fun and accessible for our students. Each classroom has one teacher and one aide in order to provide as much one-on-one experience as possible.
Below is a photo from the Troy Nature Center press day on July 23rd, 2013. Each year, we gather to thank the sponsors that make field trips for our Title 1 students possible.
